Ingredients
- 3 oz butter unsalted
- 2 lbs Spanish onions halved lengthwise and thinly sliced
- ½ cup dry white wine
- ¼ cup white wine vinegar

Instructions
- In a heavy bottomed saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.3 oz butter

- Cook until soft, approximately 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

- Add the wine, honey, and vinegar. Turn the heat to medium-high and cook until most of the liquid has evaporated.½ cup dry white wine, ¼ cup white wine vinegar
- Remove from the heat and let cool.
- Chill before serving.
